Have a robot bring you a a beverage.
Our favorite way to get participants is to invite parents and kids for a morning visit. We ask the parents to stop by and have a beverage. The interested families can walk around our facilities and check out all the exciting activities. Students are in different phases of the engineering process. In some rooms, students will be testing programs to make improvements on earlier efforts. Some students will want to check their code in a virtual environment to save time before they test it on their physical robot.
Most beginner students have already trained their physical robots to retrieve a drink and bring it to the visitors. While you wait for your beverage the students can show you how coding with Robot C works. Robot C is a programming language that is virtually the same as C. There are innumerable benefits to learning C; though, the most important advantage is that the C programming language is known worldwide and used in an assortment of applications, including cutting-edge scientific systems and operating systems. While you wait for your beverage, the young programmer can show you how the robot (virtual or real) provides instant feedback so the student can easily identify their errors. If you need any pamphlets or any other type of report you can pick them up and take them home. All registration can be done online.

Some Afternoon Games:
SOCCER- Robots
After each team has carefully engineered their various robots each team positions their robots on opposing sides of the arena. They await the indicator to commence. Teams control their robots with blue-tooth connections and game controllers. They try to score goals by directing the ball into the net. The young engineers have constructed original designs for their Soccer robots. The campers create robots that specialize in the game of soccer. The campers have utilized additional motors to create various shooting devices. They can capture and shoot with specialized attachments. Large tables allow for teams of two players each. They work the ball down the playing surface and try to score before time runs out. These Soccer-Robots compete on custom designed tables and score goals using a miniature ball.
SUMO- robotics
In this competition the campers have designed robots that adhere to precise dimensions for weight and size. This particular game is grounded in the Japanese art of Sumo. The kids carefully design robots that have superior force, control and power.
The robots fight for position and attempt to push their opponents outside the designated boundaries. The competitors improve their knowledge of machine-driven advantage. Every robot has some feature that will provide mechanical advantage over other robots. The participants have many games and learn to make adjustments and modifications to improve the efficiency of their machines. The sportsmanship and collaboration is inspirational. Players are also quick to compliment opponents on creativity and imagination. They offer each other counsel and commend their opponents after every event.
